How do I sign up for LM Federal's Internet Branch?
You instantly enroll for Internet Branch online by visiting LM Federal's web site (www.lmfcu.com).  If you have saved the Old Internet Branch login page in your favorites, you must delete it.  Go to our home page (www.lmfcu.com) and click on the orange "Online Banking Information & Login" link. From there, click on "New Internet Branch Login".  The first time you login to the new version, you must click on the red text "New Users Click Here..." link.  From there, you will have to complete some identifying information and create your new Access ID and Password.  Both the Access ID and Password are case sensitive, must be from 6-12 characters and be a combination of numbers and letters with at least 1 number and 1 letter.  (Do not use special characters.)
Can I access or view my family accounts?

Family accounts can be accessed via LM Federal's Internet Branch. You must complete a Cross-Account Transfer Authorization Form.  The primary and family accounts may be viewed separately, once you have access, but not under one view. Logging on to LM Federal's Internet Branch does not automatically link you to all accounts to which you have access. You will need to log on separately for each account.

Primary members on an account, 16 years of age or older, may enroll if desired (see above for enrollment instructions). For the account of a minor child under the age of 16, access must be authorized by the parent or legal guardian who is also the joint owner on the account.

Can I authorize someone else to use my Internet Branch service?
No; at this time only primary and joint account owners may access Internet Branch.
Is the Internet safe and secure for online account access? Can other Internet users see my account information?

When you are using LM Federal's Internet Branch, you are using a secure site. LM Federal is committed to online technology and has taken steps to ensure that accessing your accounts via the Internet is safe and secure, by implementing state-of-the-art security standards.

Additionally, we allow you to create your own Access ID and Password that will be easy for you to remember and keep "secret".  The Access ID and Password must be 6-12 characters long and contain at least 1 number and 1 letter.  This makes it more difficult for someone to guess your Access ID or Password.  When you login, the confidentiality of your accounts is maintained as the data is passed from our host computer to your personal computer in an encrypted format, where your browser then decodes the information for you to view. This prevents the data from being intercepted and/or viewed by an unauthorized third party. LM Federal has also installed secure firewalls to ensure that no unauthorized access is permitted. Additionally, each user session is set up for a specific period of time; when it is exceeded the session times out. If your session times out, and you are not finished using Internet Branch you will need to log on again. This reduces "the window of opportunity" for an unauthorized user to access your account information if you walk away from your computer without logging off of Internet Branch. Every effort was made along the way, as the system was designed and developed, to ensure that this system is as secure as possible.

The credit union is confident that offering you account access through Internet Branch is safe and that your account information remains confidential, as long as you follow safe computing standards.

LM Federal strongly recommends that you use a secure browser with 128-bit, U.S. security level, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption for accessing Internet Branch.

How can I keep my account information confidential when using Internet Branch?

However, it is also your responsibility to play an active role in protecting the security of your accounts. Following are ways that you can protect yourself and your accounts:

AND REMEMBER, NO REPRESENTATIVE OF LM FEDERAL CREDIT UNION WILL EVER ASK YOU FOR YOUR LM FEDERAL ONLINE ACCOUNT ACCESS ID OR INTERNET BILL PAY PASSWORD.
  • We recommend that you change your password on a regular basis; but you should always change your password immediately if you think that your password may have been compromised, and contact the credit union immediately. You may change your password through Touch Tone Teller or on Internet Branch with in the members services option.
  • Do not walk away from your computer in the middle of an active Internet Branch session. If you are logged on, and walk away, anyone can sit down to your computer and have immediate access to your account(s). Always remember to log off when you are finished with your session and close your internet browser.
  • LM Federal strongly recommends that you clear your browser's cache before you leave the Internet Branch site.
